Cheretha Ferguson, is not only a seasoned entrepreneur, author and educator; she can make a wicked carrot cake.

Cheretha is no stranger to the pitfalls that entrepreneurs face. After watching her first business go from being very profitable to only breaking even in 6 years, she knew that she didn’t have the necessary skills to maintain and grow her business. She decided to shut the doors to her business before debt set in and went back to school obtaining her MBA in Management and a Graduate Certificate in Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.

As she began the process of reopening her once profitable business; she began interacting with small business owners who were heading down the same path that paralyzed her business. With her new business skills and school of hard knocks experience, she was able to guide those owners down a different path. At that moment, she vowed to help owners save their businesses from having the same demise.

With that, Cheretha decided to take over her husband’s event marketing business, The J3 Agency. She restructured it to include business and marketing consulting, business development and Small Business University (workshops, training and seminars). Her areas of expertise include small business start-up, business development and guerilla marketing strategies.

This New Jersey native has worked on various business and marketing projects with The Florida Department of Education, The Miami Heat, Blue Bell Creameries, WEDR 99 Jamz and a host of small businesses. She is also the founding member of the American Marketing Association NSU Chapter.

Cheretha eats, sleeps and breathes new ways to help small business owners cut through the clutter of running their business effectively. With having the same birthday as Oprah Winfery, Cheretha is a firm believer that Oprah is honored to share her birthday with such a great wife, mother and parallel parker.

The J3 Agency is a business and marketing company designed to not only help businesses create brand value but to help end small businesses failure. For more information, visit www.thej3agency.com.
