You talked, we listened…

YPN Miami recently distributed a member survey to understand how to strengthen and improve YPN and provide the types of programs and activities most desired by our members. We have taken all of your suggestions into consideration and have created a calendar of programs and events based on your feedback along with enhanced communications on our part to keep members engaged.

Of course, membership has it’s privileges. While some events will be opened to the public, the core of YPN’s programs will continue to be limited to members only. We hope you will take a few minutes of your time to read a summary of the new changes below.

Did you know that YPN Miami re-launched it’s website earlier this year? The website includes information on upcoming events at YPN and the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce.

Based on your feedback, you will now notice Member Spotlights to keep you informed of the work and success of our members. We will also include a Member Directory with access limited to members only.

Look out for a monthly YPN Miami newsletter announcing upcoming events, highlighting YPN members, and providing you with information and resources beneficial to your professional development.

Upcoming Events

We know you are busy moving up the corporate ladder, building up your own businesses, and becoming a better you. We’ve heard your suggestions and will be as accommodating to your busy schedules as possible by hosting events later in the evening preferably on a Thursday with professional development programs held on Saturday mornings.


(1) Industry focused business networking events. Specific industries will include Marketing/PR/Sales; Financial Services/Investments; and Legal/Political. For each event, we will partner with other organizations, companies, and executives within those specific industries.

(2) YPN Picnic/Member Meet & Greet with team activities including volleyball, kickball, and football. This will be your opportunity to get to know your fellow YPNers.

Civic Engagement

(1) City Year: YPN Miami will partner with City Year (www.CityYear.org) as part of a mentoring initiative. As part of the City Year youth service corps program, young adults ages 17-24 tutor and mentos school children. With the YPN/City Year partnership, our members will serve as mentors to the City Year young adult mentors. More details to follow.
