YPN Spotlight: Myoushi Jones of My Perfect Image, Inc.

Myoushi Elnora Carter Jones, born in Madrid, Spain and raised in Europe, has been an Image Consultant since 1982, and is an active community member and businesswomen.  The owner of Myoushi Enterprises, and My Perfect Image, Inc., she helps others reach their full potential through the implementation of high quality, purpose focused, and success oriented seminars and workshops.

Ms. Jones is a graduate of Florida International University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Communication.  In addition, Ms. Jones is a graduate of the Protocol School of Washington, where she became certified in International Protocol, and Business, and Social Etiquette.

Ms. Jones has set on the board of several organizations that deal with helping the youth and elderly of our community such as Miami Bridge, Switchboard Miami, Arts for Learning, Community Action Agency Senior Advisory Committee, Community Health of South Dade Foundation, Community in Schools of Miami, Miami Children’s Hospital Community Council, and the Coconut Grove Playhouse, to name a few.

Ms. Jones has been named Who’s Who among African-American Women, has been nominated two years for the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s Emerging Black Business, in 2001 received one of the National Association of Negro and Black Professional Women’s Business Champion awards, and has received numerous awards and recognition for providing training and motivational talks to youth and adults throughout the State of Florida.

Ms. Jones has been featured on the Peter Jennings show, the FOX network, the NFL’s Under the Helmet and Channels 4, 7, and 10 Miami news stations.

IMAGE: 75% of the Key to Success:  An innovative program designed to teach students the basics of social etiquette and professional behavior.  MPI teaches skills that will help the student develop a self-image of confidence, respect and pride, which will help them in their academic and social endeavors now and in the future.

Professionalism in the Workplace:  Prepares the participant for the workplace.  It describes what is expected once on the job, how to dress like a professional, maintain a professional environment and how to guarantee advancement.  We also discuss Business Dining.

Job Hunting Skills:  A program that provides tools for locating potential jobs, preparing for the interview, conducting the interview, following up after the interview and how to prepare for the job once you get it.

Go for the Gold!  A goal setting program that encourages self-motivation, assist the participant in setting personal goals, assist in how to design a plan of action, and execute the plan.  Upon completion of the course, the student has a blue print to help them reach their goals.

A Way of Elegance:  A program designed to provide young ladies with skills that will help them become well-educated and socially responsible young women.  We provide training in dating protocol, time and stress management, appropriate dress, business and social etiquette, personal hygiene, health and nutrition, goal setting, and study skills.

Men of Honor: A program designed to help young men overcome the “bad boy image” and get them to focus on becoming gentlemen.  We provide training in dating protocol, time and stress management, appropriate dress, business and social etiquette, personal hygiene, health and nutrition, goal setting, and study skills.

Business Etiquette for Today:  A program that provides youth and adults with skills that will give them gain that extra edge in the business arena.  This includes appropriate dress, how to work a room, proper introductions and presentations, meeting protocol, basic conversations skills, and social etiquette.

Dining Skills for Today:  A program that teaches youth and adults skills necessary to dine in any social setting with ease and comfort.  The training includes a five-course meal tutorial.

How to Succeed in the International Arena:  A program that teaches professionals the skills necessary to succeed and compete in our ever-changing global society.  It includes information on tipping, gift giving, social responsibility, cultural do’s and don’ts and other information necessary for your host country to view you as a savvy visitor.
