Join the #BankBlackMiami movement!

YPN Miami is joining the #BankBlackMiami movement in support of One United Bank, which is South Florida’s only Black-owned bank and the largest Black-owned bank in the country.

As you may recall, YPN hosted a Cash Mob last year to drive new bank account openings at One United Bank, which had recently just opened their new Miami branch. The bank’s CEO, Teri Williams, is a friend of YPN Miami and was also a guest speaker at our “Richest Man in Babylon” financial wealth series.

Saturday, July 30
1PM – 4PM

One United Bank
3275 NW 79th St, Miami

Purpose: Open a checking or savings account with a minimum of $100. One United has an account for you even if you’re in Chex systems or have bad credit. They also have a secured credit card that will help you rebuild your credit. Spread the word and bring your friends.

There are 21 Black-owned banks in the country with $4.7 billion in assets. That’s down from 54 Black-owned banks in 1994. They need our continued support and investment if they are to survive.
