Women’s Conference: Keys To Living Your Best Life

Hollywood, FL, April 30, 2011 – Empowering Women Empowering Voices (EWEV) to host the “Keys to Living Your Best Life” women’s conference in May 14, 20011 at the Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center 1770 Monroe Street  in Hollywood from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The conference targets a growing demographic of women who have been battered and economically challenged to teach them the importance of practical and realistic ways of improving their lives thus discovering their voice.

EWEV is a non-profit organization that seeks to Encourage, Equip, Engage and Empower the ‘disenfranchised woman’ to Excel in life. The conference schedule includes guest speakers and workshops on networking, building partnerships, mental and physical health, and self esteem. “The purpose of the Keys to Living Your Best Life conference is to empower women in south Florida communities by inspiring them to realize their true power and the importance of choice,” said Conference Coordinator Tiffany Rashel. “We have several phenomenal speakers with very strong messages to encourage women to release any forces in their lives that are holding them back from their dreams.”

To strengthen their ability to fully reach the targeted constituency, EWEV has coordinated with local shelters to register women who use their services. For every pre-paid registration to the conference, a woman from an area shelter will be sponsored to attend the conference as a “sister companion” at no cost. “We are appealing to the community for support with our slogan ‘Help us Help 100,’” said Conference Coordinator Tiffany Rashel.  “The goal for this conference is 100 women to be sponsored to attend, with an overall attendance of 300. We will accomplish this through donations, sponsorship and paid registrations.”

Miss Mullins: On September 10, 2006, Columbus, Ohio native Miss Mullins became a victim of an incomprehensible case of domestic violence when her estranged husband attempted to kill her while she slept by pouring lighter fluid over her and setting her on fire. Miss woke from a coma that lasted 26 days to discover she had experienced burns on 33% of her body including her face, arms, hands, shoulders, and back. Mullins will be the featured speaker at the “Keys to Living Your Best Life” event to share her amazing story of overcoming tragedy and the power of forgiveness.

Miranda Soto a.k.a “The Counselor” is a local lawyer that has recently gained notoriety from her GavelBabble blog and advice column.  Diagnosed with a rare tumor and uncertain of her future, Miranda formed GavelBabble.net as a way to help people through their trials free of charge, while undergoing one of her own. She has recently been featured on S Florida Today, WLRN, and The Miami Herald.  Miranda stays busy giving relationship, family, and personal advice with a “legal twist.”



EWEV was established in 2005 with the mission of becoming a hub in which to connect battered and financially challenged women with businesses and community organizations to provide successful living tools by which to grow and stand independently on their own. To promote proper re-entry back into the society; to break the cycle of dysfunction that has occurred in their lives. To endorse sustainability; cultivate a safe environment for them to use their skills as a means to have their voices heard while making a difference. To teach and encourage them to give back through volunteer programs when they have become successful.
