In order to build an unstoppable movement to close the educational achievement gap, Teach For America is seeking managing directors of teacher leadership development (MD, TLD). Each region is charged with ensuring every student is on a fundamentally different academic and life trajectory as a result of their experience with our corps members and inspiring all levels of stakeholders to become lifelong advocates for educational equity. The MD, TLD is a critical lever in ensuring that regions reach these ambitious program goals. In each region, managing directors of teacher leadership development manage and develop a team of three to six managers of teacher leadership development who each influence the outcomes of approximately 35 teachers. Managing directors of teacher leadership development are therefore responsible for the student achievement of between 8,000 and 34,000 students, depending on the size of the region.

Managing directors serve as senior leaders on their regional teams, ensuring that the region achieves its student achievement, corps member retention, and stewardship goals. Additionally, MDs support their regional leadership teams in reaching development, alumni engagement, and human assets goals. Finally, the MD, TLD supports the development and execution of critical efforts around diversity and inclusiveness for the team. The MD, TLD reports to a member of the executive team in the region, such as the vice president of teacher leadership development or the executive director.

Clinical Therapist – Center for Family and Child Enrichment

Report to the operations administrator in the department of community-based care. Will provide weekly individual and family therapy to clients, using appropriate treatment modality. Conduct bio-psychological assessments of clients referred for therapy, ensuring that all appropriate assurances and authorizations are obtained. Develop and maintain appropriate treatment planning in conjunction with clients/families. Primarily a day shift with some evening and weekend hours.

Master’s degree in psychology, social work or related behavioral science discipline. Two years clinical experience providing therapy to children and families. Bilingual English/Spanish required.
