On Thursday, April 19th, 2012, YPN Miami’s Professional Development Committee and FIU Black Alumni hosted the Credit and Wealth Management Fair featuring Gerald Grant Jr., Director of Financial Planning at AXA Advisors.
The workshop covered various topics about creating financial wealth based on Mr. Grant’s latest book, Bold Moves to Creating Financial Wealth and discussed the following topics:
– Budgets and Financial Planning
Using an expense worksheet and/or budget spreadsheet. The lesson here depicts a daily audit of where and how your monies are spent on expenses, pleasures, savings, etc.
– Value of Creating Your Own Bank
This next lesson reveals that borrowing from yourself doesn’t cost anything.
On Saturday, March 17th, 2012, YPN’s Professional Development Committee hosted the Diversity & Inclusion Workshop, in conjunction with Converge & Associates Consulting. The workshop provided a balanced understanding of various behaviors and communication styles.
