Salary Range: $75,000 – $95,000 commensurate with experience
The ideal candidate will be results oriented and demonstrate a strong track record in both present and prior roles, and has been a President/PRESIDENT/CEO in an organization that operates in the affordable housing development. The
PRESIDENT/CEO should also be a visionary leader, capable of pushing the organization forward into new areas that may
or may not be presently on the radar. He/she should have developed strategic plans in prior roles.
As a non-profit, BAND principally relies on the funding support of sustainable funding streams, the local business community and private donations. This candidate will possess a good wealth of prior experience in roles that require funding/development, grant writing, consensus building, and which require collaboration and teamwork to achieve desired results.
Prior experience or familiarity with affordable housing on a local, state and national level is important to success in this role in addition to trade and membership associations for developing and increasing memberships.
The successful candidate will also be an outstanding, articulate communicator, and present and sell ideas passionately, crisply and succinctly. He/she will be able to paint a strong vision of BAND’s mission, vision and values to a wide range of constituents. This individual should command the respect of multiple stakeholders and will be seen as bringing both a strong presence and ‘gravitas’ to the role. Political savvy and proven ability to influence and persuade decision makers and navigate through a number of reasonably complex situations.
Finally, the PRESIDENT/CEO will be someone of impeccable character. This individual will be a visible player and champion for BAND and for the subject of affordable housing. Therefore, he/she must be able to uphold their record to any public scrutiny and examination.
