Dr. Leslie D. Walker is an educational audiologist for Miami Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS). She received her Bachelors and Masters degree in communication disorders from Illinois State University and received a clinical Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Florida. A native of Bloomington, Illinois, Dr. Walker moved to Miami in 2005 to pursue an audiology career in the school system. She provides educational audiology services to students in the public schools from Pre-K thru 12th grade and is responsible for assessing the need for assistive listening devices, teacher trainings, and student monitoring of amplification and audiological testing.

Dr. Walker is a member of the Educational Audiology Association, AG Bell Association, and a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.  She is currently the president and founder of Hear The Runway Foundation, Inc. a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that has a mission to increase self esteem, self image and self worth in high school teenagers who have a hearing loss and have aspirations of moving on to post-secondary education institutions or professional areas of employment.

Prior to joining the firm, she served as law clerk to U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Laurel Myerson Isicoff and was a staff attorney at Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc., where she practiced in the area of consumer housing litigation representing low income clients in landlord/tenant disputes and consumer bankruptcy proceedings.
